About me: Hate plastic anything made with plastic feels cheaper than it otherwise would and plastic packaging is tacky and awful, drink from cans and bottles and buy things wrapped in paper or metal where feasible. Streaming sucks and physical media is superior, why would I want to rely on a service I'm paying for to have the things I want to watch when I could just own it, my dvd or blu ray have never looked at me and said "sorry, unavailable right now".

Where I get my news: "The Week", as it sounds is a weekly news magazine I have subscribed too, provides a great summary of events in the news that week with very limited bias as far as I can tell. "Private Eye", absolute bargain bi-weekly satirical news magazine, definitely on the left but not afraid to scrutinise anyone found to be hypocritical, along with a few articles on whats happened, for £2.99 every 2 weeks why wouldn't you read it? "ByLine Times", pretty confidently left leaning but does offer in depth analysis and points of views that make it worthy of reading once a month, not badly priced at about 6 quid either. "The New World", another left leaning magazine but I'd argue less so than something like ByLine Times, and another weekly magazine thats a bit pricey with the recent price rise to about £6 again but it offers incredibly in depth looks at big stories of the week which is hard to find anywhere else. I think thats all of them at the minute and it might sound like a lot but swap scrolling tiktok or reels and you'll realise you have plenty of time in the day to get through a magazine.
